New Here
5G is a spiritual journey that Harvest Bible Chapel began in 2011. Today we are continuing to press on toward our goal of becoming 5G disciples who live for the glory of God by faith in Jesus Christ.

So what does that mean for you?

    FAQs about the 5G Campaign

    Q. Will the Benevolence Ministry suffer during the campaign?

    A. No, in fact, our Benevolence Ministry will be expanded as part of the campaign. By God’s grace, we will be able to increase our giving and give more to missions/church planting, local Compassion Ministries, and Benevolence.

    Q. May I designate my gift to a specific project?
    A. The short answer is no. The more complete answer is that we are a church family; what we all give over and above our regular tithes goes to what our church leaders determine are the priority projects. Based upon their direction, we plan to start with the build out of the Worship Center at the Niles Campus. The second priority would be to make the Harvest Cathedral “fit” to become a campus location. (Update: the Chicago Cathedral launched as an extension campus on September 23, 2012.) Other projects will follow as funding allows. We have faith to believe that the Lord will bring in the right amount of money for the projects He wants us to complete.

    Q. Is there an effort to plant more Harvest Bible Chapels outside of North America?
    A. Yes. In our current Harvest Training Center class alone, we have pastors training to plant new Harvest Bible Chapels in Managua, Nicaragua; Belfast, Ireland; Cameroon, Africa; and new Harvest Training Centers in Romania, Europe; and Liberia, Africa.

    Q. Why a three-year campaign?
    A. We have a number of projects we want to do for God’s glory as part of the 5G Campaign. The leaders of our church believe that three years is the right amount of time to allow us to maximize our efforts.

    Q. What is the goal of the 5G Campaign?
    A. We are more interested in participation and life-change than a dollar amount. Our prayer is that, as the Lord leads them, everyone who calls Harvest Bible Chapel their church home will make a faith commitment to the 5G Campaign. The projects planned for each campus were shared at these Vision Meetings.

    Q. What was the total amount pledged to the 5G campaign, and was it what we were praying for?
More than $30,000,000 has been pledged through the generous giving of Harvest attenders. This amount as it comes in, is 100% provision for every project that was discussed at our Vision Meetings.

    Q. What if I didn't pledge?
Pledges will continue to be taken online through the duration of this 3-year campaign at Harvest5G.org/GIVE.

    Q. If I am not tithing, should I still make a 5G pledge?
If your regular giving is not a full tithe, you should continue to give as you have and commit to giving the difference to the campaign that would make up your tithe. Purpose in your heart that when the campaign is complete, your combined giving can become your tithe going forward.

    Q. What if God enables me to fulfill my pledge commitment early?
Should the Lord provide means for you to fulfill your pledge ahead of schedule, we rejoice with you. We trust that He will lead you in continuing to give as He blesses through the remainder of the campaign.

Q: Can I start giving to my pledge now?
Yes. You may begin your 5G giving at any time.
