BELIEVING FIRMLY IN THE POWER OF PRAYER

Prayer is the catalyst for God’s working. God genuinely responds to the petitions of His people. So, if we want to see Him do something incredible in us and in our church,
we must begin in prayer.

Pastoral Staff and Directors

James MacDonald

Senior Pastor and Elder

Pastor James is married to his high school sweetheart, Kathy, from Ontario, Canada. Together they raised three grown children, and now their family includes a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, and four amazing grandsons. His ministry focuses on the unapologetic proclamation of God’s Word. In 1988, along with a small group of ministry partners, James and Kathy planted Harvest Bible Chapel which has grown to 13,000 people each weekend, meeting in six locations.

In 1997, a Bible-teaching broadcast ministry called Walk in the Word was established, now reaching more than three million people weekly. In 2002, a church-planting ministry called Harvest Bible Fellowship was born and has given birth to over 70 churches across North America and around the world. Pastor James’ vision is that God will use him to help plant 1,000 churches in the next 20 years.

His extensive ministry also includes a training center for pastors, a year-round camp, a biblical counseling center, and a Christian school—all used to reach more people with the life-changing message of the Gospel.

Now impacting millions of lives annually, God’s favor upon these ministries has been what Pastor James describes as “abundantly baffling.” The MacDonalds view these blessings as proof only that God still works through broken vessels to pour out His grace.

How I came into a relationship with Jesus Christ

Thomas holds an engineering degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is an MBA candidate at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

His proudest accomplishment is raising three teenage foster children. Thomas' hobbies include any sport under the sun (except long-distance running), debates with customer service representatives, and high-fiber breakfast.

Andrzej Krupinski

Pastor of Polish Ministry, Niles

How I came into a relationship with Jesus Christ
I grew up an orphan in Poland. I claimed to be an atheist. In 1993 I met a people who encouraged me to read the Bible. It was so hard for me to break down the barriers of atheism. However, certain events played a key role to turn my thinking and I started to study the Bible more deeply. I met Baptist Pastor dr. Zygmunt Karel and during one of his sermons I gave my life to Christ.

How I came to Harvest
In 2001 I left the Baptist Church to plant a Polish Church. Not long after that God, using Moody Church, led me to Harvest Bible Chapel where I voluntarily started to lead the Polish Ministry. By September 2003 I became a staff member.

How I came into a relationship with Jesus Christ
Although I was raised in a Christian home, I came to Christ at age 19 during my freshman year of college at University of Wisconsin in Madison in 2003. How I came to Harvest
I first became aware of Harvest through Pastor James' radio ministry, Walk in the Word, only a few months after having known the Lord. I felt called to seminary, so I decided to stay in Chicago for school so that I could attend Harvest and serve practically in the church while attending seminary.

How I came into a relationship with Jesus Christ
After college, my soul was unsatisfied with everything I had tried. I didn't know these words and God brought them to life in me. I began searching the Scriptures and gave my life to Christ.

After attending Harvest for nearly 1year and serving in Children's Ministry, God led me to go on short-term missions trips. I felt a calling to full-time ministry; left the market place and moved to Guatemala. When I returned, I served as an intern in Missions at Harvest. The rest is history.
